  Funeral services for William
Alfred Tucker, 78, 385 Franklin
Street who died on November 8 
were held on Tuesday at the
Whitney Funeral Home, 30 Laurel
Street with Rev. Chadbourne
Springs officiating.  Burial was in
Nathan Hale Cemetery, South
Coventry, Conn.
  Mr. Tucker was born in Devon-
shire, England and had made his
home here for the past 35 years,
although abroad for long periods
when traveling in this country 
and South America.
  He is survived by one son
Lawrence W. Tucker of Wake-
field.

Williain A. Tucker, 78, of Melrose, a former resident of 
this city, died yesterday in a Melrose hospital after a 
long illness. He was born in England and came to this 
country as a boy and resided in this city.  He left here 
about 50 years ago. Mr. Tucker's wife was the, late Mrs. 
Sadie (Wood) Tucker. He is survived by a son, Lawrence 
Tucker, of Wakefield, deputy sheriff of Middlesex county; 
three sisters, Miss Henrietta Tucker, Mrs. John N. Godbeer 
and Miss Mabel Tucker, all of this city and Mrs. George 
Norman of England and two brothes, James K..Tucker of this 
city and Fred Tucker of Silver Springs, Md The funeral was 
held this morning at 10 o'clock in the Whitney Funeral home 
in Melrose and the body was taken to South Coventry, 
Conn., for burial.
